PayiQ Adds Epassi Payment Method
PayiQ and Epassi have started collaboration on adding the payment method to PayiQ’s fare collection apps. This makes using commuter benefit easier than ever.

Epassi is a Finnish company providing various employee benefits from lunch and culture to commuting. It has over 1 million users and 39 000 merchants and its network continues to grow. PayiQ has developed numerous mobile fare collection apps that are used all over Finland. Offering versatile payment methods has always been the company’s strategy and Epassi is a very welcome addition. Paying for public transport with Epassi commuter benefit directly from PayiQ’s fare collection apps makes the user experience digital and seamless. PayiQ apps bring Epassi payment method to the fingertips of the users, avoiding the need to purchase seasonal cards and other products in offline locations.

Epassi will be first taken into use in Turku region public transport’s Föli app, which serves passengers in seven municipalities: Turku, Raisio, Kaarina, Lieto, Naantali, Paimio and Rusko. Föli offers mobile single, day, season tickets and travel card top ups. Now all of these can be paid for with Epassi commuter benefit. Epassi payment method is available in the latest version of Föli app and only requires a single linking of Epassi account to the app, see more.

“We are very eager to start adding Epassi payment method to our apps. PayiQ is dedicated to helping cities and companies to reduce CO2 emissions and encourage the use of mass transit also while commuting to work. There is a lot of potential in better utilizing commuter benefits that Epassi is offering to companies in Finland. Thus, we provide our customers a convenient way of using their benefit in PayiQ apps without having to queue at service points, which makes the usage fast and easy on the go” says PayiQ’s CEO Elena Lipchenko.
