Travelers in Ylläs can now buy tickets for public traffic and events in advance with Ylläs Tiketti application. Buying tickets with a smart phone application is easy, fast and secure.
This December Ylläs has taken into use a new mobile app that allows travelers to easily purchase tickets for different transport services and other services provided in the area. The Ylläs Tiketti app includes a wide variety of products by different service providers, for example bus rides to airport and railway station, tickets for Ski Bus, charter rides and tickets to events. The tickets are ordered and paid for with a smart phone and they are ready for use immediately after they have been paid. The app supports all the most common payment methods like bank and credit cards, MobilePay and consolidated invoicing with Svea billing. Ylläs Tiketti app is free and available for Android and iOS phones.
“We aim to make transportation easier and services more accessible in the Ylläs area by offering our customers digital mobile and transport services. Ylläs Tiketti app is a part of a joint YlläsMaaS project that Ylläs Travel organization and Finnish Transport Agency have launched to develop a new kind of transportation service that is environmentally friendly, cost effective and safe. The basis of this service is in meeting customer needs and advocating social change for sustainable development.” says YlläsMaaS-Manager Joanna Karinen. “The tickets and services available on Ylläs Tiketti app gets its product selection in real-time from open interface Ylläs-Tieto database to which local tourism companies update the services they are providing. This makes the selection and pricing completely dynamic, which is ideal for the sale of seasonal tickets and services.”
“Our cloud-based PayiQ® technology makes it possible to move over from traditional tickets to dynamic ticketing services and products. With our technology adding new services is easy and flexible. Mobile tickets are a part of an international MaaS (Mobility as a Service) trend which aims at offering users an easy and safe way to combine different mobility modes and services with the help of new technologies. Our goal is to provide mobile tickets for the whole travel chain, including domestic air and rail traffic.” says Tuomo Parjanen, CEO of PayiQ, the company that has developed the mobile app. “Ylläs Tiketti with its various services expands our business from MaaS into value-added mobile services. This service has a lot of demand in other tourist attractions as well.”
