PayiQ’s former CEO Tuomo Parjanen was granted the decoration of the Knight of the Order of the Lion of Finland. The recognition was due to his groundbreaking work for smart mobility in Finland.
The President of Finland awards decorations and medals belonging to the Order of the White Rose of Finland, the Order of the Lion of Finland, and the Order of the Liberty Cross to Finnish citizens on the recommendation of the Boards of the Orders. This Independence Day PayiQ’s former CEO Tuomo Parjanen was granted decoration of the Knight of the Order of the Lion of Finland.
Tuomo Parjanen started as PayiQ’s CEO in 2014, soon after the company was founded. During his 7 years as CEO, the company moved towards enabling easy and safe mobile payments for mass transit and securing beneficial partnerships. Tuomo had a big role in introducing Mobility as a Service in Finland. With Tuomo’s lead, PayiQ was one of the founding members of MaaS Finland and Tuomo served several years as its board member. PayiQ has also been an active member in ITS Finland and several other smart mobility networks.
During Tuomo’s reign PayiQ grew steadily and gained a strong foothold in the Finnish smart mobility market. At the same time the company also strived for internationalization and offices were set up in different locations, along with the acquiring of a Swedish subsidiary. Before PayiQ Tuomo had a long career at Bentley Systems where he held several leading positions. PayiQ is very proud of Tuomo’s achievements and the well-earned decoration.
