Green Mobility Pilot in Helsinki
PayiQ is participating in a green mobility project that aims to influence passengers’ route and transport choices to promote sustainability. The project is being piloted in Helsinki.

PayiQ is a technical provider in EU-funded ACUMEN project that aspires to affect passengers’ route and transport choices in order to promote sustainability. The project utilizes AI-powered seamless mobility management to achieve more efficient door-to-door trips. It also supports the safety and flexibility of traffic as part of the green transition.

The project is a collaboration with Forum Virium, Aalto University and various other companies. PayiQ has developed the PayiQ Tickets mobile app that is used both for giving passengers information on route options and analyzing passengers’ modes of transport. Work on the project has already started and Forum Virium and PayiQ are recruiting a focus group to test the solution. The solution is piloted in the Jätkäsaari district in Helsinki.

“We are excited to kick-off our cooperation with PayiQ to lead the development of the mobility app in ACUMEN. PayiQ’s expertise in solutions for cities and transport operators will be integral to developing and implementing the user app, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our test users” says Forum Virium’s project manager Eero Jalo.

“We are happy to be a technical provider in this project and are eagerly waiting for the results on how recommendations can influence passengers’ travel behavior. We have already launched our own GreenImpact feature in other PayiQ managed apps across Finland and believe that soft measures such as gamification and incentives can encourage people to make climate-friendly choices” tells PayiQ’s CEO Elena Lipchenko.
