PayiQ Certified with the Highest Security Standard in Payment Card Industry

Scandinavian FinTech company PayiQ is now compliant with the latest PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Certification guarantees safe and secure card payments with PayiQ’s solutions worldwide.

Safety and security are key issues in software solutions that handle credit card payments. Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an international information security standard for cardholder data. It is maintained, evolved and promoted by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI Data Security Standard provides an actionable framework for developing a robust payment card data security process – including prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to security incidents. Maintaining payment security is required for all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data. The standard sets the technical and operational requirements for organizations accepting or processing payment transactions, and for software developers and manufacturers of applications and devices used in those transactions.

“We already have close to one hundred customers in Scandinavia. This certification enables our clients to handle and process card payments in new secure ways. We can take our offerings to the next level by integrating our services with our parent company’s cloud-based mobile ticketing and payment solutions. This way we can widen our service portfolio and better accommodate new user requirements.” says Bo Hammarström, CEO of PayiQ AB, PayiQ Finland’s fully owned subsidiary.

“PayiQ offers credit card payments as one of several payment methods. At PayiQ Group we are committed to high security and fraud prevention. PCI DSS certification proves that our solutions meet international information security and quality requirements. Compliance with the latest PCI DSS standard also opens up new possibilities for us in the international markets, especially in the Nordic countries, Russia, Middle East and North Africa.” says PayiQ‘s CEO Tuomo Parjanen.

PayiQ develops mobile, cloud-based solutions that make it possible to move over from traditional tickets to dynamic mobile ticketing services and products. For PayiQ this certification is a major step towards the product and service releases that are to be announced later this spring.
