PayiQ, the Finnish Smart Mobility Fintech company, has received an award for its innovative solutions in Russia’s Time for Innovation 2016 Awards.
PayiQ set up operations in Russia in the summer of 2016 and by the end of the year it had already been awarded at the sixth annual Time for Innovation Awards in Sochi. PayiQ won in the category of Discovery of the year in IT & Telecommunication. There were over 300 nominees in various categories and among the winners were widely known international companies such as ASUS, Samsung Electronics and Aeroflot. PayiQ’s award was accepted by Pavel Ishanov, Executive Consultant to PayiQ in Russia.
Time for Innovation Awards is an independent award that is granted for best practices and projects in design, development and implementation of innovations in various industries. The Awards aspire to promote the implementation of innovations, the mass use of advanced technologies and innovative activity in Russia in general. The prizes are not only awarded to domestic companies but also to international projects that have been launched in Russia. PayiQ’s innovative solutions have earlier been awarded at the Idea Challenge, an innovation contest organized by European Institute of Innovation and Technology and at Slush, an international startup and investor event.
“This award is a great achievement and an excellent recognition of our innovations at an international level.” says Tuomo Parjanen, the CEO of PayiQ. “We were one of the first companies to develop a mobile payment solution designed specifically to meet the changing demands of today’s transportation industry. Our cloud-based solutions are already in use in several Finnish cities and we are confident that this award enhances our visibility and potential in Russian and international markets.”
