Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in Finland and other assigned markets. This role combines proactive engagement with existing clients and strategic acquisition of new customers. The ideal candidate will identify and develop new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and lead the preparation of compelling proposals. This position plays a key role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth across both existing and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients as well as key stakeholders (e.g., Public Transport Authorities, Operators, and industry organizations). Identify client needs to drive upselling and cross-selling with tailored solutions.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, CRM tools, market intelligence, and customer networks to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Sales Presentations & Deal Negotiation: Deliver impactful, customized presentations. Represent PayiQ at industry events and lead commercial negotiations, collaborating closely with the technical team to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Bid & Proposal Management: Manage the full bid lifecycle—from assessing requirements to submitting compliant, high-quality proposals in collaboration with the technical team.
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight: Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments in Finland and neighboring markets to refine sales strategies and uncover new opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline tracking. Report on performance metrics to support decision-making and provide regular updates to management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in SaaS, mobility, or fintech is highly advantageous
- Native-level Finnish and fluent English required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven success in sales and business development
- Ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close deals with a strong customer-first approach
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Solid analytical ability to assess and interpret market dynamics
- Proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for company growth—no task is too big or small
- Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel as needed
