Project Delivery Manager

PayiQ is looking for a hands-on Project Delivery Manager to lead the next stage of our product and technology development.
PayiQ provides digital ticketing and payment solutions for public transport operators, cities, and mobility service providers. Our platform supports mobile ticketing, white-label applications, payment integrations, and travel-chain solutions across Finland and beyond. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a PDM who can combine technical leadership with strong project management capabilities and business development.
The role
As the Project Delivery Manager, you will sit at the intersection of product strategy and technical execution. Your mission is to turn PayiQ’s vision into reality by leading the delivery roadmap and ensuring our digital ticketing solutions are implemented seamlessly for our customers and partners. This is a high-impact role for a bridge-builder who can translate technical requirements with developers in Jira, align business objectives with the CEO, and build strong relationships with customers and partners to ensure successful delivery and long-term collaboration.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Product Ownership: Own and prioritize the development backlog. Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Project Delivery: Lead software development projects from planning to launch. Manage timelines, internal/external resources, and ensure high-quality delivery of customer integrations.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary link between the management’s strategic goals, customer/partner requirements and the engineering team’s daily output.
- Process Optimization: Improve development workflows, release management, and documentation standards to ensure scalability.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate has:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or Senior IT Project Manager in a SaaS environment.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, mobile applications, and cloud-based integrations (fintech expertise is a major plus).
- Commercial Acumen: You don’t need to sell, but you must understand why we are building a feature and how it creates value for the customer.
- Fluent communication in English and Finnish is a must

Interview Process
Our hiring process includes four stages:
1. Recruiter Interview (remote)
An initial conversation focused on your background, communication style, motivation, and overall fit for the role and company culture.
2. CTO Interview (remote)
A deeper discussion around your technical understanding, product delivery experience, and ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders.
3. CEO Interview (in person – Turku office)
A final conversation centered on strategic thinking, business alignment, and your ability to contribute to PayiQ’s long-term vision and growth.
4. Team Meeting (in person – Turku office)
An opportunity to meet the team and get to know the people you would be working with. This meeting will take place on the same day as the CEO interview.
